Combat Specifications

As a projection of power, nothing comes close to the HAAS NorAm class Astry ship. Being the newest design in the Astry fleet, it is the only one to have double T Merlin Engines. The outer 16 Merlin Engines can be detached from the main body where they become weapons platforms. Free from the necessities of supporting a crew, these weapons platforms move many missiles very quickly. Sol Tzu sends these ships where ou really doesn’t want a fight. Using the Sol Tzu rating system (armament x speed) as a measuring stick it can be seen that nothing comes close to going toe to toe with the NorAm class ship. With all weapons platforms deployed, the captain of the ship has in effect 17 ships to patrol any system, and that is before deploying shuttles.

HAAS NorAm ships generally attract a militaristic crew but it is also the choice pick for those seeking to ultimately go into politics. After all, as Carl von Clausewitz once said, war is merely the continuation of policy by other means.
