Weapons Platforms
Weapons platforms can vary in almost every way, as they are simply defined as any structure to which a weapon can be mounted. In all but the HAAS NorAm Class ships, the weapon platforms are just modified missiles that contain an Imp Engine, sensors and an Entangled Network array. As Imp Engines can increase the missile speed by up to eight times, they are vital for a modern missile salvo, but as Imp Engines are prohibitively expensive, the platforms are reused to send a salvo across space. When the salvo reaches either 2km or when it encounters interference (typically 100km out), the modified missile stops accelerating towards the target. When the salvo has hit its target, the platform returns to ship that launched it (if it’s not shot down).
NorAm Class Platforms
The HAAS NorAm Class ship launches (or more accurately, peals off) platforms that are actually drone ships. They have a Merlin Engine, an Impossibility Engine, an Entangled Network array, sensors, a Fusion Drill, lasers, masers, Fligs, an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) generator and a 128 missiles. A NorAm Platform out guns most ships by an order of magnitude.
