Humanitarian Alliance Education and Development
The driving force behind the HAED (typically pronounced ‘ha-ed’ or ‘head’ and not using the ‘a’ unlike HAJaR), is to make sure every child has a good education. It runs schools it requested HABIT to build, all around the human sphere and regulates standard exams, including at the universities, which are actually run by HAS. Its remit and funding was given by HATTER 'to remove the lack of an education that acts as a barrier to entry to the free market'. As the education is freely available, it along with HAHA are why the HA remains hugely popular around the world.
Its system allows individuals to both attain and be recognised for their educational development. From its creation it defined subjects, such as Math, and modules such as ‘Basic Algebra’, ‘Advanced Algebra’ and ‘Basic Calculus’, where each module is worth one point. Each module is unique in difficulty as each subject module covers a unique subject.
The key to how it works is that the ability to acquire each module remains permanently the same level of difficulty, even if the module was itself to be updated to account for new information. What this means is that people can work through the modules of their choice and increase their subject score. A child who has learned basic algebra will have a Math score of 1. Someone who has passed all of three modules mentioned, will have a Math score of 3. In industry, a job working as a particle physicist may require someone with a Math score minimum of 136. Note that there is no automatic points, so someone tested on ‘Advanced Algebra’ will only get the 1 point for that module. They will have to go and sit the ‘Basic Algebra’ test to get that point as well.
Professionals actively take as many of the more simple modules to boost their score as high as possible, even if they don’t directly relate to their branch of, for example, math. HAED believes this approach creates an inherent simplicity to the system, doesn’t allow weaknesses to hide behind other achievement, and creates well-rounded subjectarians. If a new topic is discovered, such as ‘Planetary Terraforming’, it will create an appropriate module and identify which subjects it comes under. Planetary Terraforming is quite advanced and well-rounded, so it will give you a point to each of your Math, Science, Engineering and Geography scores. Modules are not limited to a single subject, so someone who qualifies will have all the related subject knowledge. Its difficulty of course, will never change.
The job market gained a boost with a clear approach to helping businesses find the tallent they need. With the job applicant’s permission (only), any employer can without any financial cost, check their potential employees score directly with HAED. This process has made CV's of applicants honest. Although any nation can run their own educational system, most adopt the HAED as it is universally accepted and the politicians know that the voters don’t want to have their children grow up and not get a job. Even Swinterland has adopted the HAED educational system.
