Life Paramount

Life Paramount was founded in 2097 as a political group aimed at animal welfare following incorrect rumours of abuse of Space Cows by their creators. Technically, the cows were not created illegally but Life Paramount felt it should have been, as the technicality was that no legal jurisdiction applied off Earth. The cows themselves are seen by Life Paramount as innocent victims. Life Paramount seeks to make sure the cows welfare is maintained but during the 'Wild West' style of lawlessness that pervaded before the recognition of Aetherial as a political force in 2109, animal welfare was particularly difficult.

The creators of space cows were never brought to any form of justice, as Life Paramount wanted, and in fact the creators Mary and John O’Raven ended up working for Aetherial State University. The precedent of 'getting way with it' helped support the creation of real Ray Cats in 2117 by Acetylene Lox who also 'got away with it' as far as Life Paramount is concerned.
